The books are some of my favorite about marine aquaria. Click on the pictures for a better description.

I strongly urge anyone who is new to reefing, please do your homework about corals that you are considering purchasing. By educating yourself about necessary light, waterflow requirements and filtration methods you will save money and a lot of frustration in the long run.

Some Local Fish Stores (LFS) will sell you anything. They may not care if you have adaquate conditions (lighting, etc.) for any long term success, while some corals sold at LFS are well known to have a poor survival rate even under the most pristine conditions (ie..Gonipora).

By purchasing a coral that will not survive only supports the market which supplies these corals and contributes to the depletion of our oceans reefs. There are many sources available for captive propagated corals.
